How to take a full screenshot

Click on the button PrtSc on desktop, this button is located on the top right of your keyboard near the pause button

For laptop you need to press two buttons Fn + PrtSc

Once you click the buttons a screenshot of the full window will be copied into the clipboard ,use the buttons Ctrl + V to paste the screenshot on image editing tool like photoshop

How to take a screenshot of an active window

To take a screenshot of an active window click on this combination of buttons Alt + PrtSc

After clicking on the combination a screenshot of the active window only will be saved on the clipboard

How to take a screenshot of a custom area

To take a screenshot of a custom area selected by the user , click on this combination :

+ Shift then press S

Once the combination is clicked the screen will go dim and the mouse cursor will change to a plus sign , use the mouse to select the area that you want to a screenshot, and then the screenshot of that area will be saved on the clipboard.

To cancel the snip and sketch mode click on ESC

Screenshot automatically saved inside a folder

In order that your screenshot be saved insdie a folder after you take the screenshot use this combination:

+ PrtSc

The screenshot will be saved inside the following folder : Computer > Pictures > Screenshot folder

Take a screenshot while in a game

To take a screenshot while in a game there's 2 options:

+ G

The first option will open the game bar and from there you can take a screenshot, check the following image for more information:


To take a screenshot of the current game without using the bar game option use the following combination:

+ alt + PrtSc
